Tillie (India Eisley) is a troubled girl on Nantucket Island. Her family had recently died in a plane crash. He falls in love with a taxi driver Niko (K.J. Apa), himself. The problem is his murderous brother Marco (Scott Adkins). Attorney Cantrell (James Remar) is on trial.
Niko is a troubled character. KJ plays him like a good boy. I understand his inner conflict with his brother, but he is trying to be a good boy. Apparently this was inspired by the Boston Marathon bombers. The problem is, this film is not complex enough to do justice to the complexities of human relationships. There is a strange twist with Niko here. I don’t buy his character even without inspiration.
