I hadn’t seen any trailers or pictures of this film before seeing it, I just actually heard who the main character was and that it was related to something hot, so I longed to be surprised and hopefully entertained. Basically, Hannah Faber (Angelina Jolie) is a smokejumper (wild firefighter) who suffers from a traumatic memory of failing to save three teenagers who lived in camps and the smokejumper or who was also caught dead in a forest fire last year. He is now being held at a fire station in Park County, Montana. Meanwhile, forensic accountant Owen Casserly (Jake Weber) sees in the news that his boss and his family were killed during a gas explosion. In fact, the Blackwell brothers Jack (Aidan Gillen) and Patrick (Nicholas Hoult) were murdered. Believing to be followed, Owen runs with his son, Connor (Finn Little), to hide with his brother-in-law, Deputy Sheriff Ethan Sawyer (Jon Bernthal), Hannah's ex-boyfriend. Driving into Ethan's house, Owen and Connor were stopped by the Blackwell family, who forced them off the road and down a cliff. Owen is seriously injured, giving Connor evidence against Blackwells' employer, mob leader Arthur Phillip (Tyler Perry). He tells Connor to give it to someone he can trust, Connor runs away from the wrecked car before the killers shoot his father dead. Ethan gets Owen's car crash. At that moment, Hannah is forced to leave the watch tower during a thunderstorm, lucky enough to escape before lightning strikes. The next day, he encounters Connor while walking through the woods. Connor hesitates to trust Hannah, but reassures her that he will accompany her back to the tower to get help. Arthur has heard reports of Owen's murder, but nothing about the boy, he orders the Blackwell family to hunt down Connor and kill him. To distract the police from the search, the killers used flames to set fire to the forest fire. They went to Ethan's house believing that Connor might have escaped. There, they find and investigate Ethan's pregnant wife, Allison (Medina Senghore), but she fights and runs away. When he returns to the tower, Hannah gets a radio and all the power goes out because of the lightning. Connor feels that he can trust Hannah and show her the testimony his father gave him, and he insists that she have to walk around town on foot. The storm continued to cross the field, where Hannah survived but was struck by lightning. They were forced to retreat when they saw a rising fire blocking their path. Ethan returns home with the Sheriff (Southern Boots) after being warned by Allison on the phone that something is wrong. The Blackwells killed the Sheriff and forced Ethan to lead them into the woods. The Blackwells and Ethan arrived at Hannah's tower. Ethan is forced to climb into it and search while the Blackwells stare at the tree. After returning to the tower, Hannah and Connor hide while Ethan tries to make them look empty. However, Patrick sees Ethan talking about his telescope, and the assassins begin firing at the tower, injuring Ethan. Hannah and Connor managed to escape. The Blackwells tried to follow them but were stopped when Allison, who had been following them, started firing. Patrick and Jack split up, Patrick following Hannah and Connor. Jack stays and tries to kill Allison, but he kills her. Connor runs forward while Hannah interrupts Patrick, but seeing Patrick hit Hannah runs back to help her. Patrick goes to Connor to kill her, but Hannah struggles with him, and he is badly injured. The fire spreads rapidly in the forest, so Patrick is burned to death in an oncoming fire. Allison meets Ethan again at the top of the tower, but they are caught in the fire. They wear oxygen masks and hold each other as they surround them. Hannah and Connor jumped into the river and watched as the water burned down in the forest. The next morning, after the fire had been ignited, the survivors were rescued when Hannah's old smuggling team arrived to rescue her and Connor. At that moment, Allison survived, but Ethan died of his previous injuries. Later, Connor prepares to give her father's testimony in the media and Hannah promises to help her with her uncertain future. He plays James Jordan as Ben and Tory Kittles as Ryan. Jolie offers exciting performance as a flawed but trustworthy firefighter, Gillen and Hoult have been hailed as corrupt assassins, little talent growing, and there is good support from Bernthal and Senghore. A very simple story, father and son fleeing, assassins hunting and a woman who is attracted to a boy while he is fighting a fire, but is drawn to it by its characters and its tense moments, a thrilling action game. . Good!
