The Unholy Movie Review
I was recommended to watch the 2021 horror film "The Unholy", so I sat down and watched it.
And I would say that the film was definitely watched. Yes, hold on now, for there is but here; however, the film was not outstanding. The movie from author and director Evan Spiliotopoulos has already been well-received and familiar, based on the immense depths you see coming a mile away.
As I sat down to watch the "Dirty" I must admit that I was amazed, because of the title of the film, its basis and because of the unique and interesting collection of actors.
But even with the likes of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, William Sadler and Cary Elwes on the cast, the movie never really got out of the middle ground when it came to lazy writing and film predictions. It seems that these players were not really allowed to appear and offer 100% full performance.
"Unsavory" is a common and moderate horror film. But if you are new to the stereotype, then you will definitely get into something here. But for a passionate fan like me, writer and director Evan Spiliotopoulos just played it in a very safe way following the action plan of the horror-film.
I would say, however, that the visuals in the film were fun and for the most part they were really good. The CGI department has done its job well here. So if there is nothing else, then the "unholy" is saved by material things.
"Unholy" was not the movie I was expecting, so I sit here with the feeling 'was it really?' here as the film ends. I felt somewhat relieved at what might have been a horror film, and instead I was given a warm plate for prediction.
My rating for "Unholy" reaches five out of ten stars.
