The Little Things Movie Review

Joe Deacon, the Sheriff's Deputy Sheriff in the Regional Police Force, is being sent to LA to collect evidence. In LA he was joined by many of his colleagues as he was a murder detective there. He has also been charged with felony criminal mischief for allegedly trying to seduce a minor.

It's interestingly logical, even though it was powerful enough to be wise. It started well, with a decent character development and an interesting plot. Good acting and working with. Denzel Washington puts on his strong regular performance, Rami Malek is good and Jered Leto does what he does best - acting like a weird, off-the-wall character.

However, as soon as this seems to lead to something extraordinary, cracks begin to appear. The building is waterproof and attractive and suddenly takes a direct reference. This guide would be masterstroke if managed properly but unfortunately it is not. The end is a very wet squib. Dress up to look deep but it is not.

So it really is disappointing in the end. If the author's director John Lee Hancock had stuck to the original request and made a crime drama full of controversy this would have been fine. Instead he tries to take it another way and while this is just the beginning, his plan is weak, making an unsatisfactory conclusion.
