I came across the 2019 Norwegian film "Tunnelen" (also known as "Tunnel") with a random chance here in 2020. And when I watched the tragic films of the last few years from the Norwegian cinema, I just had to sit down. and watch "Tunnelen" again.
First, I was surprised to see Thorbjørn Harr taking the lead, and I would say that he handled the role and film well in his own way.
"Tunnelen" was fun, for sure, but suffered a bit from the prediction. And that was a shame, because it held the movie a little bit in gaining more size. But don't worry, I'm not saying "Tunnelen" is a bad or boring movie, far from it. In fact, I found the film interesting and exciting - just a shame you know exactly how the story will go from the beginning.
The film takes place mostly in a smoky tunnel, so you can see the many beautiful scenery of my ancestral home in Norway. However, I would say that, when the film took place mostly in a dark and smoky place, then the cinematography and camera work was really good, and it sounded like you were there in a commotion near the actors.
"Tunnelen" has had good characters to fill various roles and characters, and they certainly have a positive contribution to the overall fun of the film.
I rated "Tunnelen" six solid stars out of ten. It is very important to sit down and watch, and I would warmly recommend this movie.
