Witch Hunt Movie Review
As I sat down to watch the 2021 film “Witch Hunt”, I must admit that I was expecting more from the shocking department of author and director Elle Callahan. But instead I found myself in the midst of some sort of political horror.
The story told in "Witch Hunt" is certainly one that has failed to entertain me in a memorable way. Sure, the movie was watched, but I found that the story line was flawless and slow. There has been very little happening of any significance throughout the entire film season, so I did not enjoy it very much.
And even though the movie has some good characters, like Elizabeth Mitchell and Lulu Antariksa in the cast, the storyline was just an anchor in their ankles, pushing them back.
There is a little CGI involved in the movie, as there is a subtlety of witchcraft that will be seen in the movie. Sure, the results were good, but I have to admit it was a film based on witchcraft, and I was expecting more from the magic department. But I think the title of the movie was more about something when people were waging a campaign against someone because of their ideas, opinions or beliefs, not really real magic.
Anyway, "Witch Hunt" was a film that failed to give me wholehearted entertainment. And as a result, my rating of Elle Callahan's 2021-year-old film director and director reaches three out of ten stars.
