Dr. Strange's recent sacrifices may have involved Spider-Man's mysterious spell, but Marvel's favorite aide has serious problems in the first trailer for his new film, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The trailer welcomes the first actors of the film including Benedict Cumberbatch as Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, and newcomers like Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.
The trailer begins with Strange exploring everything that went wrong from the Spider-Man: No Way Home episodes - apparently not cleaning it up the way he expected. The Strange atmosphere, along with that of the MCU, is close to a catastrophe and it is up to him to stop it. Of course, there are a few people who stand in his way, including Mordo, other creatures from other ranks, and a seemingly ugly version of Stephen himself. The good news is, Sorcerer Supreme will have help from Wong and Wanda Maximoff from this trailer as well.
If you forgot what happened to Wanda in Avenger: Endgame and now, here's a brief review - especially in the case of the spoilers of the Disney Plus WandaVision series. Wanda broke Vision's body and took it out of SWORD headquarters and took it to Westview, New Jersey where he used his powerful magic to create the illusion of a complete sitcom city, including the mind that controls the city's real residents to help him make his legend. Wanda finally meets a witch named Agatha Harkness who tries to steal her power, encounters a white version of Vision, and finally liberates the city before hiding. This is probably where Smanga found him in this trailer.
