 Megalodon Rising Review

First of all, the title of the movie does not necessarily mean high-quality entertainment. But hey, this is a feature of the prehistoric shark creature, so I had to watch it.

The movie then started with a logo from Asylum, and let's face it, Asylum is by no means the only company you put together with good movies, or great results. But still, as always, Asylum is able to bring out something that is actually not too shabby and visible.

Fortunately, "Megalodon Rising" has become one of those rare situations. Of course, it was not because of a particularly interesting story written by Andrea Ruth that the movie looked like, no. Actually it was, and I'm not kidding here, because this was a shark movie and the sharks looked really good - even a film from Asylum. So, that was working on film harvesting.

Apparently I must say that "Megalodon Rising" is one of the best films Asylum has ever released. The sharks actually looked adequate and had a real touch on them. Sure, I wasn't particularly a fan of the CGI team heads that went with it, but they actually managed to make enough CGI sharks for the film. Now, the film cover had a shark that looked familiar to it, strangely enough to be seen anywhere in the movie.

Ironically, Asylum is still reverting to the good old thing by recycling and reusing previously used videos in the same movie over and over again.

The actors of the film were many good enough. There is nothing extraordinary about the evidence being presented here, but at least the actors and actresses were able to stay afloat, unintentionally, and bring more than I expected in the film starring Asylum. Now, if I have to identify one outstanding player here, I'll be referring to Freda Yifan Jing (playing Dr. Lee).

If you enjoy an old shark movie, then "Megalodon Rising" actually makes it a perfect look. There’s nothing good here or memorable, remember, but the movie was good enough for what it was. However, the type of movie you watch once and probably never will.

My rating of the director of Brian Nowak's 2021 film "Megalodon Rising" dropped to five out of ten stars.
