Queenpins Review
For the Queenpins of 2021, Vince Vaughn kind of rejuvenated himself as a comedian. He removes "The" from the title of his previous play while making him play his role slowly and refreshingly. Vaughn calls the extremely critical post inspector again, a humble hoot.
Queenpins is a popular joke, a myth that doesn't pay for crime (or is it?). It’s so fun and why not. I mean the film mocks the illegal burglary. Two ordinary, Joe-s women (Kristen Bell as Connie, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as JoJo) formed a $ 1 million coupon scam from their Phoenix, Arizona, home. They live large, live high on pigs, and live "gangster". Connie's role is good for a guy like Kristen Bell. You see her in commercials and in other movies and she is always really kooky / happy.
Queenpins do not take themselves too seriously because, too, it is about couponing (duh). The two directors lead it and deliver the processes in a fun, tasty clip. I always love cars when people try to illegally pursue the American dream. You do not want to be caught, but at the same time, you are doing it. Queenpins is a small tongue on the cheek, a lot of girl power, a little crackpot, and sprinkled with dry jokes. It would be easier to throw away the $ 5 barrel to get better as you continue to bubble.
Oh and I talked about Paul Walter Hauser? After all he is in Queenpins too. He plays a loss prevention tester (Ken Miller) who helps Vaughn's Simon Kilmurry to try Connie and JoJo. As with Richard Jewell, Hauser lives in a dim bulb persona to perfection. Ken has a poop schedule (7:30 AM with alarm), an extremely enthusiastic approach to investigating suspects, and those cheese mustaches. Like Bell, you are in the cinema, a comfortable shoe store.
Queenpins may be the only flick ever made on discounted vouchers and promotional material run by TLC. "It goes in style" from a woman's point of view. I will take a "discount".
