As God Review
One of the things that makes the God of War so beautiful is the way he built in the past. Not a re-launch but a sequel that appears in previous games in the series. Throughout the game we are reminded of Kratos' past adding depth to his character, subtlety to his future, and tension in his relationship. In terms of visuals this is the best looking game I've ever seen. The storytelling is among the best in any game, though the plot itself is on the easy side. And it is a very long game of God of War and almost all that time has been put to good use. There are a few weak spots that hold the game back though. Although the combat is good for movement in the game world it is very limited and straightforward. The amount of free movement and interaction is very limited in a modern game and I often find it inclusive. The game is among the best games I have played in many places and it does a few bad things but it has enough mistakes to prevent me from giving it a high score.
Game 8 - As I grew to love fighting at the end of the game I found myself lazy at first. At first Kratos has very few skills and his movement is slow. Thankfully as the game progresses the skills become more open and the variety of combat becomes much better. All seamless unlocked skills work together to enhance the combat experience, There are many difficulty options that can be changed at any time so you can set your pace if you want to focus on a story or challenge. There are a lot of puzzles throughout the game and while I found out that some of them are a lot of work it was fun and there was plenty of variety to keep things appealing. The menu systems are a bit confusing at first, there are a lot of options and upgrading gear is an intuitive challenge. My biggest complaint about the game is that it closes too much. The areas you pass through are usually narrow paths. With the modern game it seemed very limited. Kratos cannot swim and almost every movement in the world is recorded.
Story / Progress 9 - The story being told is amazing. The box between the letters flows seamlessly all the time without interruption or repetition. It really sounds like playing a movie. The Last Generation The Last of Us has raised the bar of storytelling in games and this kind of God of War has taken you to another level. The story almost fits in well with the game without feeling compelled or unnatural and goes very well. My only problem with the story was that the ending was scattered and contradictory to the weather. However, above all, it is one of the best stories about any game.
Earth 8 - The world is beautiful and full of deep stories. Everything you encounter has meaning and thought embedded in it. A unique take on Norse Mythology also surprisingly recommends other games in the series. The world itself is a pleasure to hear but in terms of interaction is limited. While the game looks great and open there are actually a lot of narrow modes. Unlike games like Witcher 3 or Horzion: Zero Dawn, there are plenty of places you can go. It is not an open world or an open space. It is a well-designed web of methods. The structure of the world is amazing but with a modern game I expect more freedom.
10 characters - Kratos has always been a popular building but in the past he has been a staple. The game transforms him from a mascot into a truly credible, deep and fleshy character. Most notably he did that without sacrificing his identity. His past tense describes his present in a natural way. He carries the blame in a subtle way and is full of conflict. He is a strong character but he has a weakness. There are a few better game characters. Atreus is also very well developed and the relationship between the two works very well. Although the characters are very small compared to a game like WItcher, the side characters are still well written and feel credible.
Visual Design 10 - The visuals speak for themselves, even without the PS4 Pro the game looks stunning. The level of detail is just amazing. It is not only technically beautiful but also artistic. The whole area is carefully designed. Each location has different visual features. Models, effects, and animation are complimented to look better than the scenes cut in previous games. I have been waiting for a long time for the game to be a movie theater and God of War brings that.
Sound Design 10 - Everything in the game sounds good but the sound performance is the highlight, there is a continuous conversation during the game and I have never been sick of it because it was all well delivered. Each character is taken seriously by his or her voice. The soundtrack itself is also beautiful and has its own style without interruption. The sound effects were very satisfying in all areas.
