Certainly, as I sat down to watch this film titled "Jurassic Hunt", I must admit that I had no expectations or real hopes that this movie would be so good. I mean, 99 out of 100 of these dinosaur movies are just trash. But still, on the odd chance that "Jurassic Hunt" might be worth watching, I decided to sit down and watch it.
But as the voice behind my head warned that before I could watch "Jurassic Hunt", I had to skip this. Yes, it was one of those run-of-the-mill dinosaur movies with little resemblance to the right story line, mindless simulations and the negative effects of CGI.
So, yes, "Jurassic Hunt" successfully collects all the bad things about dinosaur movies and exposes you to enjoy, if you are in these low budget, powerless dinosaur movies that dime up to a dime and a dozen.
The story told in "Jurassic Hunt" was as familiar as it appears, even in a dinosaur film. A group of big game hunters have paid money to go out on a hunting trip, waiting for ... a dinosaur. Well, that was something the author took with him here. And best of all, this is what director Hank Braxtan decided to spend his time on directing.
The CGI results for "Jurassic Hunt" were a mixed bag of nuts. The nuts are very rotten and ugly. Yes, many scenes throughout the film have some dubious and humorous effects on CGI. But there were instances when dinosaurs looked good and realistic enough.
"Jurassic Hunt" is not a film I would recommend that you spend your time, money or effort on. Some of us do so unnecessarily.
