This started small but was interesting as a separate film from the men's point of view. It incorporates the myth of paranoia, mistrust, and the effect that creep into a fast-paced relationship and why it can be a bad idea to chase things with the wrong person. Be careful who you trust. Be careful who controls you or who eats you. Dating is scary. The metaphor is set on solidity but that is what is exciting about panic these days. Similarities between true myth and myth. Drawed secrets and dark past that closes. Men can go along with this. You meet the wrong girl and before you know it she is a stranger who somehow knows it is a bad idea. We have been here for a long time. The ending was a bit disappointing and the note coming out of it was not my cup of tea. But the film before it caught my attention. This is similar to the Next meet the Poor meet and Go out meet Hp Lovecraft meets the Bodysnatchers attack but not as a historic one. The tension was slow but good and the story, though at least predictable to me as a naturally suspicious person, is slow but so full of stress that you may forget to swallow your saliva while watching. There are flaws, some less stellar cgi, and a lackluster offbeat ending. But I enjoyed the picture and the ride. This is a film about why you should not trust people. The simulation act was strong enough to carry this otherwise it would have perished. A small bite of fantasy scifi lovecraftian-inspired paranoia thrillers who don't expect much. 6/10
