 Apache Junction Review

Corrupt varmants with six smokers are on the rise in the "Badlands" crippled horse opera operator Justin Lee's "Apache Junction" (* 1/2 out of ****), starring Stuart Townsend, Scout Taylor Compton , Thomas Jane, and Trace. Atkins. Entering a simple 94 minutes, this unequal brush, R-rated, rough on a horse's back follows a reporter from a soft newspaper into Arizona's notorious crime scene. Despite all the warnings against it, our brave heroine came to the Sanctuary to write to her San Francisco-based newspaper about her cruel people. Director Justin Lee soon introduced Miss Annabelle Angel (Scout Taylor-Compton for "Halloween") as a character instead of turning her attention to a gunman who has been falsely accused of murder and kidnapping which is a compulsion of every rich hunter. Basically, the "Apache Junction" is a fish from the western waters. The difference is that the tenderfoot is not a dude but a dame. Unfortunately, our depressed girl spends most of her time watching boys shoot themselves full of bullet holes. Finally, using a lever-action, the Winchester model 1876 repeats and defeats the criminal, then discards that 15-shot weapon and begins to practice divination.

Lee wrote and helped a western genre that would inspire John Wayne to rise from his grave and blow his nose. Interestingly, none of the Apaches intimidated anyone in "Apache Junction," while the audience had to endure one of the worst, classical conversations you've ever heard. However, Lee inserts a sufficient number of shots that should satisfy the less aware aficionados. In the meantime, fans of the western veterans will applaud the times when gunmen paused to reload their pistols. Sometimes, even the righteous westerners ignore these strange but real moments so as not to block the momentum of accountability. Although "Apache Junction" is relatively simple compared to Unforgiven (1992), "Silverado" (1985), or "Appaloosa" (2000), "Logan Fulton's wide-screen cinematography makes this oater look like the same league. .

"Apache Junction" took place in the Arizona Territory in 1881. After all, although not related to the west, 1881 was the same year that Wyatt Earp and his brothers shot and killed Ike Clanton and his relatives in O. K. Corral in Tombstone. Ahead of our journalist's guide, Ebb Foliet (Edward Finlay's "2 Fast 2 Furious"), escorting Annabelle to Apache Junction, they stopped briefly at a nearby cavalry barracks. Miss Annabelle Angel is not yet ready to receive the ice cream given to her by the military commander, Captain Hensley (Trace Adkins of "Old Henry"). First, she clarifies only Apache Junction women hookers. Second, he explains that "no woman with dignity in her mind is involved in these aspects." Third, he warns Annabelle that he will not be able to protect her from the many evils that lie in the Apache Junction. Finally, with an unbelieving face, Hensley asks, "And does this stupid subject deserve to be raped and killed, shot, cut, or maimed in this god-forsaken desert?"

Afterwards, Ebb advised Annabelle to walk slowly around Hensley and escort her to Apache Junction. Dressed like an Eastern schoolboy who is an amateur than an ink-painted, blue-eyed journalist, Annabelle emerges as a square nail with a round hole. Later, he finds himself at the mercy of three independent Army officers who put him in a helpless corner of a stable. Incredibly, he insists that he wanted a dry river! Trembling, Annabelle unveils a Colt .45 Peacemaker with long drums. He could not hold it in without trembling, and the rushing soldiers gently stroked him. Ironically, one of these mockers is Captain Hensley's son (Nicholas Ryan), who is stabbing a knife in his room when a stranger, Jericho Ford (Stuart Townsend of "Queen of the Damned"), interrupts them again in Winchester. Later, a soldier lied to Captain Hensley that Ford had not only killed his filthy son but had also kidnapped a journalist. Riding, Hensley rides to Apache Junction and makes a profit on Ford. The corrupt desire, Oslo Pike (Ed Morrone of the "Hellblazers"), terminates the contract with Hensley. This vicious, vicious example of humanity appeals to the revengeful captain to forgive him for his crimes if he killed Ford.

Gunmen in the "Apache Junction" shoot more often than in a shot. Impromptu shooting creates little doubt or discord. Despite being a supporting character, Thomas Jane of "The Punisher" (2004) offers excellent performance as a loaded saloonkeeper with a gun who never set foot outside his bar. Wearing a derby hat, Ed Morrone presents the second best performance as a disgusting killer apologizing. Army Trace Adkins captain sits behind his desk more often than riding his horse. The worst thing about "Apache Junction" is that Ford once intervened in the name of our tenderfoot heroine, the naïve Scout reporter Taylor-Compton smiles in the background. At first, it leads us to believe that Annabelle will prove to be a terrible woman when all of her peers are like dewy eyes, a depressed girl. Worse, Lee deceives the audience without a good ending. Hensley and Ford had to swap lead on a shooting showstopper. Placed in the area during the COVID-19 riots, the "Apache Junction" had to shut down production briefly. Sadly, filmmakers were forced to leave their beautiful New Mexico destinations and complete the film in California. Thankfully, Lee and the company found a seamless transition between the two locations, so you would never know that parts of the Apache Junction town were filmed in two remote provinces. Unless you are a strong Western completist, who considers westerners to qualify as 'good, bad, or bad,' you should avoid "Apache Junction" and see the best west as "Old Henry."
