Holiday Monday Review
The action film does not begin to describe the flawless nature of what I just saw. The modern day Die Hard to say the least; Holiday Monday will be a future indicator for all other directors. We start with two characters; Nathan Shepka and Colin MacDougall. The clever sarcasm and display of charisma as they produce their lines is astonishing; The one-liner and repartee in this film were a miracle, I just laughed many times during this production due to the paralyzed burns that were placed on the characters like a locust plague in Egypt. Not to mention the fluency and flexibility of choreography in this movie; they did a short job of their opponents, I would say the director had a great influence from John Wick and different tactics like Kingsman.
Structure, my lord I thought I was reading old books; two guards, both with respectable military backgrounds saw themselves emerging from the depths as they mingled with the king of drugs (well portrayed by John Michael-love I believe) insanity games. He’s the purest salesman out there and he’s obviously very crazy, the presence of this character gave me nods, crazy laughter, smiles, the way a director uses light to express his shocking feelings; God I thought I was watching Heath Ledger for a moment.
I don’t want to waste any more time this time, but this heartbreaking tail caused me to walk for a second towards the end. But really the best part was when the tracker was revealed to be in a vest and not a santa hat, I spat on my juice, really. I would also like to take the time to commend the other characters: the killer, Gina, portrayed by Jemima Spence; perhaps a bit out of place for the leading assassins in movie history, Leon and Anton Chigurh as an example, but it was wonderfully done. And Kayla Caldwell as Maddy has done an excellent job, her catchy phrase will probably be the last thing I think of when I die (and I will die with a smile). And Jay Graham did a great job, the dude must've gone everywhere for thousands of years and come back to get amazing performance.
In conclusion, this sexually explicit joke, heartbeat, flaming guns, crazy riding action is really worth 1/10.
