Witches of Blackwood Review
Hewu. This was 1 hour and 18 minutes of unadulterated boredom.
When I sat down to watch the 2020 film "The Unlit" (also known as "Blackwood Witches"), I had never even heard of a film. But the fact that it was a thrilling supernatural game and that I had never seen was enough to make me interested in watching it. And of course the film cover served as an attraction for me.
But "Unlit" from author Darren Markey and director Kate Whitbread was a slow-moving movie with nothing going on during the rest of the movie. I kept watching this film experiment in the hope that something really happened, because the film seemed interesting from the cover and its captions.
However, do not raise your hopes with "The Unlit", as this movie was boring in human form. The history was so simple that it could have been a slap in the face to the viewers. The only thing that kept "The Unlit" unchanged was the cast of character enough.
I was unfamiliar with one character or character who played in "The Unlit". And that is usually something I enjoy in movies, and it was good enough here too, except that the movie probably doesn't have a story line.
"Unlit" was swing and missed, and failed to give me any kind of proper entertainment or pleasure. And this is not a movie I would recommend that you spend your time, money or effort on.
My rating of "The Unlit" remains two out of ten stars.
