 The Deep House Review
Yes, this film was unique.
When I sat down to watch the horrific 2021 mystery "The Deep House" from writers Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury I had never even heard of a film. I had just briefly reviewed the captions and found on the cover that it might be a movie to watch. So I chose to watch "Deep House".
I must honestly admit that I really enjoyed the concept of "The Deep House". Everything with a house that was submerged in water and really awesome explored by limited light sources and limited air supply was a fascinating experience. And there were some great moments to enjoy during the film season. While this in the normal course of a horror film was interesting, the real story series was normal, if you intentionally took a step back and watched it.
And although "Deep House" was a spectacle, this was not a scary mystery that justified more than one view. Yes, the movie story line did not have enough features and layers, or content to support more than that and only one view. So that was something that matched the film.
The cast in "The Deep House" was somewhat in vain, as the two main actors wore a immersion mask about 95% of the film, so they lost a lot of facial expression and imitation in the conversation. And immersion in water and swimming in the surrounding area certainly had some limitations in body language and body language. And, shame, because it worked against the overall feeling of the movie.
With the shocking film then “The Deep House” it didn’t really cut it short. With the exception of the underwater theme, then "Deep House" did not bring anything new or overly exciting to the shocking genre.
Once you pass through the creepy house of the movie, you will be left with a completely unpleasant experience. And once you have released that water feature of doom, you just have an endless story like other horror movies.
The camera function in "The Deep House" should be mentioned, as it had that ugly and ever-changing style of camera operation on it. I don't like that, because it sounds like a novice and a low budget. When I sit down to watch a movie, I want to watch proper cinematography, not something I can do with my DV camera.
My rating of "The Deep House" is based on five out of ten stars. I would rate it for the sixth time, but when I look at the fact that there is a lot lost in imitation and imitation due to the mask and underwater limitations of almost every film, so I have to let the final rating sink as low as five black stars.
