Fear PHarm 2 Review
After all, the 2020 horror film "Fear Pharm" was by no means a horror movie. Sure, it was a movie, but it was a horror movie. So imagine my surprise when I received the 2021 sequel song "Fear Pharm 2", yes. Certainly. Well, I was not overly excited. But as I got the chance to watch it, and it is a horror film, I did.
Note, that my expectations for this series were not very high. But I believe in giving the movie a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt.
Authors Mark S. Allen, Howard Burd and Dante Yore did not really raise the bar in sequence. In fact, as is often the case with the following, it went the opposite way. Yes, while the 2020 "Fear Pharm" looked, the 2021 sequel sounded like watered down and a completely unnecessary sequel. And the film cover / poster was actually the best part of this experiment.
The story told "Fear Pharm 2" was a big step back compared to the original film, which was not so good at first. But when it sounds like a director Dante Yore was already running on an automatic pilot and playing every single sequel trope as much as possible. And that didn’t make for a great horror movie experience.
Now, I would say that it was really nice to have so many actors go back to the previous movie and re-produce their characters in sequence. That was counted as something at least.
If you enjoy a good horror movie, you may want to do yourself a favor and skip this one.
My rating of "Fear Pharm 2" is based on three out of ten stars.
