The animated length feature cartoon that provides kids primarily, "Addams Family 2" deserves it as a more than just a hoot hooot. The late ghost cartoonist Charles Addams who painted the New Yorker magazine between 1938 and his death in 1988 inspired this imaginative but bizarre cool 93-minute PG. Those old-fashioned, single-panel, pen and ink images combine horror and humor with clever ingenuity. In 1964, the Addams Family came out of those pages and stamped the television screens on the weekly 30-minute, black and white, ABC-TV series. Most of the comedy in the game came from a cultural rally between the helpless Addams and the daily citizens who abused them. Sadly, "The Addams Family" dried up in the air after only two seasons, before resuming life as a few Hanna Barbera cartoon series few can relate. Indeed, television - the electric center - gathered families together happily in the fireplace and at home.
