Bliss Movie Review
Greg Wittle (Owen Wilson) splits up. She promises to attend her daughter Emily's graduation ceremony but her failed marriage is difficult. He is struggling in a way that is detrimental to his career. He is fired and kills his boss by mistake. He flees to a bar where he meets Isabel Clemens (Salma Hayek) who claims to know the secret of the truth.
I really like the base. I love the uncertain truth. Greg may start to get a little crazy. I like what he did in the first session. The second episode meets a few bumps. Emily's scenes looking for a father should be cut. They show something that should not be shown at that moment. And the last act is not what I want. This movie is directed at something dark though I would accept that filmmaker Mike Cahill wants to make a different statement. All in all, I love the conflicting truth and despite the various bumps on the road, it is still very compelling.
