The Mauritanian Movie Review

I was expecting a lot from "The Mauritanian," a screen taken from the "Guantanamo Diary," which called for U.S. administration. of Guantanamo Bay prisoners. Usually, if a movie like Oscar-baity like this fails to get a single nomination, it is because it is not very good. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the film is so different.

For some, the "Mauritanian" will probably have a more serious hand. It is one of those free Hollywood diatribe (and I say this as a free development feature) that would be great even for those who have already bought what the movie sells. I would have been turned off if I had been in a different situation when I watched it. But sometimes, the commitment of the filmmakers can overcome their extreme integrity, and that is exactly what happened to me here. Among the typical Liberal activists = Good, U. Jodie Foster offers an amazing performance as a dedicated lawyer in the release of the film's character, starring Tahar Rahim, and we are allowed to see that he is unpopular and contradictory. Likewise, Benedict Cumberbatch, as a prosecutor, is presented as a guarantee that he will be a selfish South military man, completely unacceptable, but the film dispels our expectations and shows that he is capable of self-sacrifice and patriotism. emotions are surpassed by those who are human. Admittedly, the film does nothing about beauty or luxury, but I recently appreciated the story that at least tried to fill the liberal movie / conservative issue with more than a simple cipher character. The film may have been criticized as another white savior story, and that criticism would be justified. But it is very good.

Shailene Woodley rounds out the characters as Foster's assistant, and she's very good. The director is Kevin Macdonald ("The Last King of Scotland"), who has the ability to make entertaining movies that come out of the story of a horrible reality event.
