Indeed, I sat down and watched the 2021 film “The Lockdown Hauntings” because the film had Tony Todd in it. Yes I did, after all you are an awesome actor. And yes, I found the movie title questionable, but I still chose to sit down and watch "Lockdown Hauntings".
But, this movie was bad. Too bad. The film did not have the full and heartfelt meaning of everything as far from the right story. And what really came to the author's mind here, I can't even begin to understand. But, this movie was just rubbish.
So this was about a serial killer who came back from the dead to continue killing during the Covid-19 explosion. Yes, it does not get any more corny than that.
The film was nothing but repetitive scenes. Sure, it was different women who were intimidated by an invisible attacker, but all the scenes alone were the same, and everything was pointless and stupid to watch. That creates a very negative film feeling.
The actors of the film were one-sided cardboard characters, trying to bring undoubtedly written dialogue and trying to make repetitive scenes live on the screen. It was fun for the first scene, it was just boring and annoying.
Director Howard J. Ford could not really bring a thriller here with "The Lockdown Hauntings". And with the shocking film, I must say that the year 2021 was a great game and not to be missed.
I can't recommend you to waste your time, money or effort on a film like "The Lockdown Hauntings". It just doesn't fit. And some of us are traumatized by this tragedy so it is not necessary. I hope so.
