Granted, I was tempted to watch "Stowaway" in terms of film rating, captions, interesting cover / poster, and the fact that a new movie I had never seen before. So everything was looking up for the 2021 sci-fi Thriller from writers Joe Penna and Ryan Morrison.
But hey, this movie was a snoozefest. The flow of the story was so slow that you could walk for a long time, and then come back and be in a hurry with the events in the movie. Running for about two hours, very little happens during that whole time. So, "Stowaway" is a very boring film that is in danger of making you fall asleep.
The story line did not contain enough content to last an operating time of about two hours. The story line in "Stowaway" was very vague, boring and very unorthodox. In fact, you still have the feeling of 'what was the purpose of this movie' when the film's ending begins to unfold.
And get this; the film has an amazing collection of four actors and actors, two each. Now, there is nothing wrong with young actors, but when they have very little to do with the right script and story, or characters that are fun enough, then there is very little that Anna Kendrick, Daniel Dae Kim, Shamier Anderson and Toni Collette can do that director Joe Penna intended to do it.
Apparently "Stowaway" was a good enough experience. It was not a movie packed with dozens of CGI special effects to take off your socks. But the atmosphere and the effects in the movie had a deep sense of humor. Not without mistakes and mistakes here and there, such as Zoe opening the door to the King and then being dragged. Uhm, what? There is no gravity in the depths of space.
"Stowaway" was a disappointment for the star's size. And it is definitely not a movie I would recommend that you spend your time on. Well, unless you are looking for something that will help you navigate to Dreamland.
There are some of the best space films available, many of which offer more entertainment and entertainment than "Stowaway" could.
