Admittedly, I have to admit that I was inspired to watch the 2021 movie film archive of the "Mortal Kombat" arcade, despite the fact that many previous attempts to make the arcade game live on the big screen were not fun. But special results for 2021 seem to do the trick, at least in the trailer.
And now as I have just watched the 2021 effort of writers Greg Russo, Dave Callaham, Oren Uziel and Greg Russo. And the color to me is impressive. This "Mortal Kombat" of 2021 is the way the first movie of "Mortal Kombat" should have been. And this film from director Simon McQuoid makes you want to forget that he once faced previous “Mortal Kombat” starring Christopher Lambert and Brian Thompson on the cast.
Indeed, the story told in 2021 "Mortal Kombat" was very simple, as it has always been in these movies, as it is a movie based on arcade. Let’s face it, not really much in-depth storytelling is needed here. It is instructive, pure and easy.
Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanada starred in the role of Bi-Han / Sub-Zero and Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion respectively. And apart from these two action mammoth stars, then it really is refreshing to see that they have chosen to imitate the extraordinary talents in the roles of this movie. That made me very happy, because it was so good to see new and new faces to show these characters, so that old concerts and very skeptics could not be permanently removed.
"Mortal Kombat" means, amazing surprise, fighting martial arts and action film. There’s no in-depth issue here, but that shouldn’t surprise you if you sit down to watch a film like the 2021 film “Mortal Kombat”.
Looking at the special effects and the CGI people who work on "Mortal Kombat" do wonders. The viewing results were amazing and CGI was noticeable. These results have made a really big difference in a film like this. And it was great to see the right results in the movie "Mortal Kombat" after all these years.
Of course, I have never played "Mortal Kombat" in many years, so some of the characters in this 2021 movie were completely unknown to me. Not that it made a really big difference in the overall fun of the film though.
And I appreciate how they are not afraid to kill the characters in these movies.
I would say director Simon McQuoid managed to direct the right movie here with this addition to the "Mortal Kombat" franchise. And this is undoubtedly a film worth taking the time and effort to sit back and watch.
