Admittedly, I was tempted to watch the 2021 film "The Nest" (also known as "The Bewailing") because of the coverage of the interesting movie, and because it was a horror movie that I had never seen before.
But "The Nest" by author Jennifer Trudrung and director James Suttles has recently become a common and common practice for a small group of detective monsters of a horrible genre. Yes, "Nest" does not really bring anything, except that nothing much happens. And you need to get in 1 hour and 12 minutes into the movie before it starts to get a little interesting, but by then it was a little too much, too late.
Of course, the concept behind "The Nest" is appealing, and there may be something very interesting and disturbing here. But director James Suttles has only managed to bring a low-quality film here.
Although I was able to endure the ordeal, I must admit that I was tempted to jump out of the way a few times along the way. Why? Well, just because not enough important things happened throughout the film. And by the time director James Suttles decided to expand the events, it was too late.
Acting on the movie was enough, though it was clear that the actors and actors were struggling with the script under the title and the story. And it did not really help the movie that the characters were just talking and not having a deep personality.
Of course, they had a good collection of actors and actors on the cast list here, even with Dee Wallace present. However, even a dignified person like him can do very little to save the film.
The movie title, "Nest", is totally unfit for a movie. I would imagine that there would be more bugs in the nest. And especially as the film cover depicts a host of insects. But instead I found myself suffering from a single insect, and it appeared in just 72 minutes in distress. And it was not even worth the wait, against the very weather.
It has to be said that visuals with a teddy bear with enlarged eyes certainly work well. Because that teddy bear certainly had an insect-like object going on, and I liked that. And the effects when it opened its stomach to get the insect inside, it certainly also looked good, especially with the good and sticky residues.
In the horror movie "Nest" it just fell into disrepair, not to mention the shocking and memorable horror film. It just seems so boring and inconspicuous, and the film will just move on to a place of oblivion without leaving any kind of lasting impression on me.
I was disappointed with this movie, especially as I was looking forward to seeing it, given the cover of the film and the fact that Dee Wallace was in it.
