Caged Movie Review
After watching the film it was disappointing to read some of the worst reviews here - the obvious criticism expressing the general outrage at Hollywood’s current low budget for a single local product and the huge impact of a “wake up” culture accepted by all media.
While realizing that rising movement has exceeded its goal and has become increasingly frustrating and that broadcast platforms are full of partially baked products, the fact that CAGED satisfies both systems is doubly rather than negative.
Despite its low budget its outstanding production prices, from cinematography to the role-playing game, make-up efx, costumes and editing.
The director would not have done a better job. Her creative camera angles and clever use of exterior photos keep the stressful subject from becoming more claustrophobic than necessary in the story. (He did a better job than the director Wajda did in Kanal!)
As for its lack of prison reality, the film is not a documentary. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online.
This is the first great game for a new director. Let's hope the critics don't delay.
