An experienced editor, turned author and director Richard Colton started his film well, but when more actors were introduced, the film became a novice.
From the beginning, cinematography, points, color choices, and an impressive set were impressive. A unique refreshing story caught my attention and kept me amazed. New actress Jess Impiazzi as RIA has done very well alongside the character of Luke Goss. Until the launch of Jack # 2, this movie sounded like it was going to be one of the best B-grade films I've ever seen in a long time. Even a 95-minute workday was ready to go.
But as soon as Amar Adatia started playing as Jack # 2, amateur films became a hit. As more and more actors were introduced, and some repetition of the film was made, those ateurist films grew. I’m sure that because of Colton’s ignorance about his failure to direct his characters properly, all the other games seem too bad, unsatisfactory and amateur. Even some of the dialogue became a joke and the structure and technical problems that began to emerge. Almost the rest of the film became your low-budget B-grade film, and that’s a lot worse, because this one had great potential to be a miracle.
While Colton’s directing and his story remained respectable, misrepresentation and bad dialogue violated what should have been a valuable film. I wish he had at least one experienced writer to edit his script, and / or an experienced actor to assist with his actors' poor and unsatisfactory performance. But considering that all new filmmakers have to start somewhere, he still gets high marks for me on his story. I don't think this film deserves anything less than 5/10. I mean Goss did his best with what he had. So 5/10 from me. To see my review terms, or one of my 1000+ reviews, click on my username. So if you are a fan of Goss, sci-fi, and have nothing else to look forward to, and know that getting into this low-budget B-level film, go see this - you will probably enjoy it.
