Well, the film was like a throwback. I mean, a film titled "Tom and Jerry", but it's very focused on the human character Kayla (played by Chloë Grace Moretz). So it was somewhat disappointing to stay with this movie.
And in all honesty, the live action movie with the cartoon character included didn't work. It was the 1990s, and it didn’t sit well with my selection of the 2021 movie, and certainly not for Tom and Jerry’s entertainment. No, Tom and Jerry have to be fully abducted, as they always have been.
The story in the movie is enough, though it suffers from a combination of live action and animation. It just turned out to be too bad to give me enough entertainment. But at least my 11-year-old son was enjoying it.
The 2021 film has a good mix of actors and actors, but that didn't matter considering the basis of the controversial live action and animated movie with Tom and Jerry. And neither Chloë Grace Moretz nor Michael Peña could save this. In fact, the film will have a feature on their resume.
