"Momshies! Ang Soul Mo ay Akin!" bad film. Back when the film was still available on Cignal PPV, I actually really wanted to watch it (I didn't have enough money). I wanted to see how the directors of "Magandang Buhay" performed on the featured film. Sadly, when this was found on Netflix, the film was so bad and ridiculous, I only saw it for 30-40 minutes. It proves that just because something is popular (morning talk show) doesn't mean you have to turn it into an accessible film. "Momshies" is trying so hard that the Vice Ganda film (which I really enjoy) forgot to make a good story and create indelible traces. Why should the actor Karla Estrada be admired when, in her first scene, she fired an employee who was doing her job. The film is also confusing because the incident in which Melai was expelled was played with laughter but, however, a few minutes later, Melai's character is frustrated as she thinks about how she can feed her family. Some people may like the film (perhaps moms) but, as the 2021 MMFF producers hope people will wait for Spider-Man: No Way Home and support local films, it is frustrating that as someone who wants to support local films, this is the kind of film they offer.
