 Run Hide Fight Review

I came across the 2020 film “Run Hide Fight” in 2021, and since I had never heard of it, I had no idea what I was getting into here. Yes, I had never seen a trailer or anything. I realized that Thomas Jane was in the film, and that was enough to make me want to watch it. Well, that, and again because I had never seen "Run Hide Fight" before.

And I was able to sit and finish the movie, really. But I can honestly say that this is the first and only time I will watch "Run Hide Fight". Yes, this film from author and director Kyle Rankin did not sit well with me.

First, no, I'm not an American, so I'm not used to being shot in the school where I live. But I think the movie with the story line as it is called "Run Hide Fight" was subtle and tasteless, especially with the problem of school shootings in the USA.

Then there are the issues with the characters in the film, as most of them are actually faceless drones rolling out of a sense of personality, depth, inspiration and what’s not. So whether one person died or survived, it was simply mixed with a shoulder. And I'm not too happy about the portrayal of the protagonist Zoe Hull and the way she just dropped criminals shooting at school without paying attention to her safety, her schoolmates, teachers or school staff.

And the script and the story line sound dim and uplifting. But then again, I really didn't like the film about school shootings, so ...

I'm sure the impersonation in "Run Hide Fight" was enough, but it just left me thrown and missed the story, and the movie just went on and on with a strange blur to me.

This movie failed to make me happy, and it actually left me with a dirty taste in my mouth. I’m usually not picky or irrational, or easily offended, but something about the film made me feel bad.

I rated "Run Hide Fight" three out of ten stars. And that is because of the amount of film production and also because Thomas Jane was here.
