The Boy Behind the Door Review
Do you know who said "Friend to the end?"
Two innocent boys who have been playing their whole lives were interrupted by strangely bad people one day. They are taken to a big city - too big for both of them to live in. But even so, one of the boys managed to escape. If only this would be easier for her - she would not leave her friend behind. And now, bringing her friend back to life will be a nightmare.
This was apparently done by people who loved Stanley Kubrick's song The Shining. More than a few heads in that masterpiece. But, why did they have to do this in politics?
Listen, I hate a sane person, but I watch these movies to escape the bad times we live in. To make people worse by being turmp fans is not necessary.
BUT ... every other movie, it's amazing. The boy had to carry the whole film on his little shoulders and was to be commended. I hope you have a very good job in front of him.
Although, that is to say, I understand that his character makes a lot of ... questionable decisions. Many times he could not get rid of the madness and get his friend out of the horrible house and get away from these evil kidnappers. But, I have given him MANY passes. He would not be more than 9-10 years old and the pressure he was put on to get his friend out safely could permanently harm even the best of us.
This is a simple story of Boy 1 trying to rescue Boy 2 from Evil Twosome in a strange place. He is quick, strong, knows when to pull the punches and when to add even more doubt. Maybe too many deus ex machines, but as a boy, I gave a ton of passing. This was also a love letter to the older broadcasters of the 80s-90s when things were easier for all of us.
And I'm talking about nostalgia ... I love the fact that the boy had to learn to use a mobile phone. Make perfect sense.
Completely recommended. Steve Reeves says: check it out.

Final Thoughts: Nearly 30 years later, I have never forgotten this quote: Landlord Willy: (sighs) Boy ... read my thoughts! You have Shinning.
Bart Simpson: You mean "Shining".
Local Guardian Willy: Shh! Do you want to be sued?
