Risen Review
When all is said and done, RISEN is finally the attacker of the space film. It is not the best translation of the genre that I have ever seen, but it is certainly a very effective practice.
Unlike the FREEDOM DAY attack style which incorporates great power, advanced technology and well-armed foreign invaders, RISEN is a “investment” approach that starts small and risky and grows into an unstoppable force before we humans on earth find out what’s going on.
At the time of this writing there seems to be a lot of negative reviews about RISEN. I would argue that RISEN is a "good" film (whatever that means) that covers the differences of viewers because the success of aliens in taking over our world is largely due to the efforts of the human spectator who are indirectly supported by ordinary inefficiencies. on the side of those authorities who would be given the task of protecting humanity from such things.
There are some weak points in the picture and they are usually a little annoying because the alien's success opens up these weak spots that annoy the viewer.
The events of the movie are about what turns out to be the third attempt to collect aliens. The first is captured and blocked by the Americans, and the second attempt is seized and thwarted, though kept secret, by the Russians (using their signature the shocking violence).
The third attempt, the RISEN title, is most effective because of the (somehow) unknowingly helped "rebellious" woman who was "transformed" and "organized", somehow by accident, during the first unsuccessful attempt decades ago. During the film, we find out how much he helped the actual attacking process during the years of his life.
As an example of the point of a weak conspiracy, one of the things a female traitor does to provide aliens with information about the nature of our planet and its environment. When you think about it, this does not make sense. First of all, he seems to be using a standard radiofrequency radio and not some very advanced communication because some people hear him do it on their receivers. So why didn't we find him then? The aliens must have been near or how they would have received a radio signal from anything like a working time; why would aliens need information from him? Their first attempt had been made on earth BEFORE they infected him as part of that first attempt. This suggests that they already know everything about the earth and the place where it is located.
There are many building holes that are easily visible. Counting yourself here would be a lot more boring than I ever was.
The rebellious female character spends most of the film looking at ignorant people instead of acting, loose jaws and drooping mouth. THERE’S NOTHING tangible about him, and, speaking for myself, I had a great desire to hit him right with the crowbar in the whole picture even before his total nature was fully exposed. Add to that the fact that the aliens were successful only because the traveler was allowed to work without being monitored or reviewed by any of the authorities, and a film with good quality production prices became a disappointment.
RISEN is a useful watch for fans of science fiction but make sure you bring your stress reliever toy to the desktop because the movie will be annoying.
