At first I was excited to sit down to watch "The Protége" by author Richard Wenk and director Martin Campbell, but someone had said that the film was not all that beautiful. So there was little doubt that I had to sit down and watch "Protége". No matter how it was played, I was watching it, as the film had a good collection of actors.
And I must say that I am glad I chose to watch the film, because I happened to enjoy the film. This was a good old-fashioned crime game, good or bad. Sure, the story line and plot might have been predictable and commonplace, but who cares? Make it fun and healthy.
The story is easy to follow and doesn't require much in the intelligence department, so just turn off the old gray and lean back and enjoy the movie. And yes, that was really good with the movie, because it's kind of a munch-on-the-popcorn-and-enjoy-the-action movie.
"Protége" has a great collection of characters. And to be honest, I just had to watch "The Protége" because Maggie Q starred in it, as she often makes decent action films. And he was well cast in "The Protége", I will say that very much. And it was really fun to have people like Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson in a movie like this.
There is a good amount of action and fighting scenes during the season "The Protége", which really helps to bring the movie to a successful run.
I am happy enough with "The Protége", and a film to watch if you like thrilling crime games.
