My interpretation of this movie is that they live in the post apocalyptic world after the rapture and it is dangerous so this little place has some law of keeping peace. The boy finds out that there is a way to enter paradise even though the rapture has already taken place and the rest of the people have not been raptured. Following in the footsteps of an uninhabited desert you finally find a skull which after meditating on it realizes that the skull is death and that is the way to go. He asks another boy to bury him so that he may die and enter paradise which is the only possible way. He is buried, dies, and his soul rises from the entrance of Paradise. A girl sitting on a bench in Paradise tells him not to think of anything he wants but to see that he wants to go through another door so that he can return to where he came from because he left his brother.
