As I grew up with "GI Joe" cartoons on TV and always loved them, I must say that my expectations for the 2021 film "Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins" were not high in the sky, considering the previous live films supported. cartoon.
But anyway, I just sat down to watch the movie and see who the writers Evan Spiliotopoulos, Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse would be coming to.
And although "Snake Eyes: G. I. Joe Origins" was certainly a visual film, this was not the case. You just cut your brain, lean back and eat popcorn while watching action on screen. As for the proper content of a deep story or a thrilling story, then "Snake Eyes: G. I. Joe Origins" is not a movie you should watch. No, this was an absurdity simply because the "G. I. Joe" statue was dragged over it to be sold to a larger audience.
I have to admit that I am sitting here feeling that this is an unnecessary and unfulfilling film, as the movie has now come to an end. Of course, the movie was a cheese action game and it looked good enough to be. But this was by no means the best film from director Robert Schwentke.
The sequence of action in the movie is good, and that is what keeps the movie going. That, along with other great visuals and special effects. But other than that, the film was a shallow shell.
The combination of the characters was interesting, however, I will say that a lot. I don't know Henry Golding, but he did a great job at healing Snake Eyes on screen. And actor Andrew Koji was a good decision for Stormshadow. Now, it was really nice to see the likes of Iko Uwais and Haruka Abe in the movie again.
I doubt I will ever watch "Snake Eyes: G. I. Joe Origins" a second time, because the story line did not contain enough content to support the first view.
