Blood Red Sky Review
Where is Samuel L. Jackson if you need him most? Maybe you're still fighting snakes ... okay get stuck in MCU ... or Star Wars? Is he still in that? I don't remember the last one - you're sure about the MCU. But far be it from you, for you may be thinking of something completely different from what you will find. In fact, even the snakes on a plane should not be overlooked, because that would have been a fast, funny, and crazy movie - it would have been better, but much more fun than here.
Which is not to say that this is not good ... of course, but the things you may not like may weigh more than the things you may like. For example: the movie is full of main characters (international speakers), but that also means you won't get much out of them - ignoring character development. Now little jokes here and there may do wonders ... at least for me. But on the other hand I know some people like their fears as straightforward as they come (no innuendo or pun intended).
Having said all that, the movie has really good cinematography, the mysterious aspect of it may work for a while, depending on how much you know before watching this, and the make-up is amazing too. However you have characters thrown in, the characters seem to be doing the opposite of what can make sense and the twists in the end are very weird ... especially considering your "consequences" ... I think some people need to re-watch and re-examine the Zack Snyders Army of the Dead about now.
And the good thing: a horror film (genre) from Germany. You have to love that - and the director has shown that he can do better things before. So take this with a pinch of salt and a lot of suspicion of disbelief ... you may really enjoy it (or not, but you will know better in advance)
