Sound of Violence Review

Alex Noyer produced the documentary 808, which was about the Roland TR-808, a drum machine that originated in hip hop and pop music. He also wrote and directed a short song entitled Conductor, about a music engineer who helped a young artist create a competitive music that came to life.

Inspired by that film, Noyer created Sound of Violence, which is a surprisingly different take on the slasher. It is the story of Alexis Reeves (Jasmin Savoy Brown), who was deaf until she witnessed the murder of her family when she was ten years old. This devastating event awakened his musical skills and musical ability inspired by the real sound of violence.

Although she works at her job as a teacher and enjoys a romantic relationship with Marie (Lili Simmons), she keeps everyone unaware of the dark secrets of her musical gifts. Yet when he is faced with the prospect of never hearing it again, he will do anything to prevent that from happening.

Alexis can see colors in music because of the emotional state, which he first discovered when he killed his cruel father at a young age. Now, she continues to enjoy those color swirls thanks to her anti-child music colleges, chaos and pain. But once you get into a song or create it, you can't stop. You need a great height. And Alexis descended on a road that could have lost anyone close to him.

Indeed, it may even go a long way when Alexis learns how to build all kinds of tools, including his ability to compose music while tearing people to pieces. Yet at a time when many broadcast slashers seem content to throw some synth music and 80s outfits while replaying the worst cliches of the best of the genre and declaring themselves to be brave throwers.

This high-resolution film with images of acid travel and no small deficit of the valleys composed to form one of the most distinct particles seen by form for decades. It’s not perfect, but it sounds like an amazing step forward and I can’t wait to see what Noyer creates next.
