 The Mutation Review

Admittedly, as I sat down to watch the 2021 horror film titled "The Mutation" by author and director Scott Jeffrey, I must admit that the movie had a certain cultural and antiquity feeling that was terrifying in the 1980s. And that was a big reason for me to sit down and watch it, and the fact that it was a horror movie that I had never seen before.

Sadly, though, the cover of the film was actually the best thing about the "The Mutation" tragedy. I'm not kidding.

Well, the story here goes straight ahead, so at least Scott Jeffrey was able to pull that off. But at the same time, the story line was so predictable and so familiar that the movie quickly ran out of gas and became a permanent fixture. So you do not find yourself in a horrible movie rollercoaster if you choose to sit down and watch "Conversion".

The acting in the film was good enough. Of course, you do not sit down to watch the good thespian performance of the Shakespearian level. But on the other hand, there are some very bad B-movie games in this horrible genre. So the actors and actresses who took part in "The Mutation" did their best with the real thing, though I'd like to think so.

Apparently, "Mutation" was a swing and missed. Of course, the concept of the creature was interesting enough, and the suit actually looked really good. But that was all; study. And it was very clear that; a man in a creature suit. Especially the meaningless face, that was a buzz killer.

I'm sure there is an audience out there for a low-budget horror film like "The Mutation", I have never been a big fan of those audiences.

My rating of "The Mutation" is based on three out of ten stars.
